The other day, I read this article about a german professor, who is asking his students to not address him as either female or male. That means if you write to him, you have to do it this was: Liebx ProfX or something like that. Because “Lieber” would be male and “Liebe” would be female, so instead it is x. Neutral.
His picture looks indeed as if he is inbetween. Well… Interesting. (They already have that system here, in some publications, where they do the so called “Gendering”, that you say… “Die Mitarbeiter/innen” meaning you address female and male workers in one word. (But mainstream publication and the newspapers are not doing it.)
